Giant Foods/Martins is giving away free antibiotics. Our vet wrote scripts for us & we got 3 2wk prescriptions of amoxicillin for free.
Bonnie lost a baby -- Tuesday February 17th, 2009
Sadly, one of Bonnies babies got caught up somehow and passed away today. We are doing our best to help the tiniest one to grow with supplemental feedings every couple hours. He had slid backwards to 4oz, but we have him back up to 6 and gaining slowly. Named him Monkeyface.
Rescue on Humbird St -- Tuesday February 17th, 2009
We were called to Humbird St in S Cumberland for a cat with gash in side and a pregnant cat. The black male had numerous abscessed bite wounds & was FeLv+ and the female was FeLv+ also with other problems. Sadly, the decision was made to euthanize them so they wouldn't suffer needlessly.
Penny adopted -- Saturday February 14th, 2009
Steve & Chris drove all the way from Hunt Valley, MD to adopt Penny. Have renamed her Ava. She is slowly settling in.
Garfield & Nerdal -- Saturday February 14th, 2009
These 12 yr olds are very confused & scared right now & their family is heartbroken, but their little girl has progressed to nosebleeds & the cats were having to stay in the basement. Garfield is gray & part Siamese & Nerdal is white.Both are spayed females.
Blaze has babies -- Friday February 13th, 2009
Blaze had 3 babies in the sunroom today. One is orange and 2 darker. Will keep you posted.

Update on Bonnie -- Sunday February 1st, 2009
Bonnie is doing great and so are her babies. They weighed 4.25 oz last night and 4.75 oz tonight. There are 4-1 orange and 3 black /gray& varying shades of white faces. Their tiny little ears twitch in time with their suckling. Its so cute! Any ideas for names?
Bonnie & her babies -- Friday January 30th, 2009
Bonnie had to have a c-section today. She was too worn out to do it herself after 5 hours of trying. She had 4 precious kittens again 1 orange and 3 gray to black. She hasn't much milk, so I am helping her by feeding them every two hours.
Bonnie woke me at 4am by jumping up and down off the bed and went straight to the box I had for her. I told her I would help her and she wanted me right there with her. I felt bad to have to leave her at the vets, but at least they helped her get it done quickly and prevent any more. Stay tuned for progress reports.
Ginger adopted -- Wednesday January 28th, 2009
A very nice young couple came to see Nutmeg and Bobo, but Ginger really hammed it up and happily won their choice, going home purring like crazy wrapped up and held in her arms. Way to go Ginger!!!
Silky adopted -- Monday January 26th, 2009
Silky was adopted today by a lovely family from the Flintstone area. Silky was a real ham and deliriously happy to have a new home.

SILKY ARRIVES -- Saturday January 10th, 2009
SILKY WAS FOUND ON TRENTON ST NE OFF VALLEY RD. SHE IS A BEAUTIFUL LONG-HAIRED CALICO, VERY AFFECTIONATE AND OUTGOING. SHE IS MOSTLY BLACK WITH A WIDE ORANGE BLAZE DOWN HER NOSE AND A WHITE CHEST AND FEET.
SHE HAD A COLLAR LINE, SO WE HOPE TO REUNITE HER WITH HER FAMILY. HOWEVER UNTIL THEN SHE IS WELCOME HERE AT CARI.
